Rankings swing while an update rolls out. Judge the result a week after Google marks it finished.
In Search Console, compare the week after the update with the week before it started.
If one page dropped and stayed down, look at that page. Run the audit on it.

One short email the day it is announced, and one when it finishes. Nothing else.

Is this Google’s data?
Yes. The names and dates come from Google’s public Search Status Dashboard. We add nothing to them.
Does an update mean my site was hit?
No. An update changes how Google ranks pages in general. Your pages may not have moved at all. Check your own numbers in Search Console.
What should I do while an update is rolling out?
Usually nothing. Rankings swing during a rollout and settle afterwards. Judge the result a week after Google marks the update finished.
Does it cover my country?
Updates that Google confirms apply worldwide unless Google says otherwise in its notice.
Where is the daily reading?
It is planned: a number from 0 to 10 for how much Google’s results moved since yesterday. It needs its own measurements, and 30 days of them before it can call a day calm or stormy. Until it exists this page shows only what Google has confirmed.
